Flood water from a rain storm

This client had a storm drain fill up with leaves and debris in the street outside of their commercial building.  The water pooled up about three feet deep and flooded across their property and into the most of the building.  The first picture illustrates their glued down carpet becoming detached and ruined by the flood water.  The experienced crews at SERVPRO inspected the carpet and determined it was not salvageable.  They removed the carpet, scrapped the glue residue off the surface of the concrete slab and dried the concrete slab until it was returned to comparable moisture content to areas that were never affected.  All of the actions by the SERVPRO team need to be executed quickly and effectively to shorten the length of time the client is out of business.  Most often, the SERVPRO team is able to setup the client so they can continue to operate in at least a limited basis in an onsite temporary office or another offsite building.
