Flood water into commercial building
This client had rain water build up in their parking lot from a clogged storm drain. The rain water became contaminated from grease and oil in the parking lot and then flooded into a commercial building through their exterior wall. The water soaked around the corner area of an office, but only affected the drywall. The first image shows the use of a thermal imaging camera to quickly assess the extent of the water intrusion. These thermal imaging cameras are very expensive and requires significant training. However, these cameras are essential to the water restoration industry and the experienced crews at SERVPRO have all received extensive training to use them. The second image shows the wall cavity and insulation contained off so the employee could continue to use their office until repairs were completed.
