Mold is never a fun topic to discuss. Even though it seems like a harmless issue, it can actually cause many health effects. Not sure if you have a mold problem? Here's how to find out.

1. Moldy Odor

Not every mold has a smell, but a lot do! Some give off a constant musty odor. If you smell that, there is a good chance you have mold.

2. Visible Mold

Some molds may appear white and thread-like. While others can look like black spots. Mold can also produce a gray-brown, black, or green color. Molds that are behind wallpaper can be orange, pink, or purple.

3. Water Damage

Simple enough, moisture equals mold. If you notice bubbling, cracking, or stains, you might be dealing with growing mold.
